The paper presents the results of examination of 78 young patients. Among them, 57 patients with isolated hypertension with metabolic syndrom constitute the observation group. 21 patients are control group. The increase of waist size, the elevation of arterial pressure, dislipidemia and fasting hyperglycemia were noted in observation group in comparison with control group. The size of intima complex was equal in all groups, but the rate of pulse wave spreading reliably increased in observation group.
Key words: hypertension, metabolic syndrome, pulse wave velocity.
