The article presents the results of studying the features of vascular pattern of the tongue ventral surface in patients with cardiovascular diseases. Four types of changes were identified, their quantitative characteristics are given; the correlation is shown between the severity of changes in vascular pattern, severity of cardiovascular disease, and atherogenic index. The prospects are described for the use of cardiovascular screening in outpatient dental practice.
