Postoperative pain after hip arthroplasty is an actual problem. In particular, side effects (nausea, vomiting) from opioid analgesics can limit the use of physical therapy and delay rehabilitation. Therefore, finding ways to reduce the use of narcotic opioids may speed up recovery. One of the possible options is reflexology. During the search for material, a limited amount of material on this topic in the Russian language was noted. This review discusses various articles and possible acupuncture prescriptions (both auricular points and corporal ones). The availability of information about clinical research in the field of reflexology will make it more accessible to introduce its methods into clinical practice, which may improve the quality of patient care.
Key words: acupuncture, endoplasty, pain relief.
