Ultrasonic parameters of blood flow in kidneys and left ventricle of heart in chronic heart failure

Objective ― to evaluate the relationship of left ventricular echocardiographic parameters with Doppler indices of arterial blood flow in kidneys in chronic heart failure.
Material and methods. Duplex scanning of arteries of the kidneys and echocardiography were performed in 30 patients with and without chronic heart failure.
Results. The resistance index of kidney arteries increased with the formation of chronic heart failure, accompanied by a decrease in the blood flow rate in kidneys in the second stage.
Conclusion. A statistically significant association of moderate degree was found between the indices of systolic and diastolic heart functions and maximum blood flow rates and the index of resistance of kidney arteries.
