In order to develop the differential ultrasound diagnosis of pathologic formations of the right cardiodiaphragmatic angle were examined 156 patients. The comparative analysis of echopicture of abdomino-mediastinal lipoma and coelomic pericardial cysts was made. An original method of differential ultrasound diagnosis was offered. AML had an appearance of a formation of triangular shape with heterogeneous echostructure due to multiple short linear signals at the hypoechoic background, in the course of longitudinal scanning is traced its transition into the preperitoneal tissue in the form of a narrow peduncle. Coelomic pericardial cyst is an oval formation with uniform anechoic content, limited by thin echogenic capsule and with no relation to the anterior abdominal wall. Ultrasound differentiation of abdomino-mediastinal lipoma and coelomic pericardial cyst allows the surgeon to choose the therapeutic approach and to determine the manner of surgical treatment.
