     The work objective was to analyze the modern data on the efficacy and safety of medication used in pregnancy. The article presents characteristics of the main medications prescribed during pregnancy. The issues of using the systemic and local antibacterial therapy, homeopathic and herbal preparations in pregnant women are considered. The complex approach to the treatment of rhinitis in pregnant women and the use of intranasal corticosteroids is studied. The reasons for pharmacotherapy inefficiency in pregnant women are analyzed. It was established that drugs with unproven efficacy and safety during pregnancy are often prescribed. The preparations with antiseptic action for topical use allowed during pregnancy are indicated. Modern recommendations for the administration of systemic antibiotic therapy in pregnancy are given. The algorithm for the treatment of rhinitis in pregnant women is presented.
