The article presents data on the associations of polymorphisms of single nucleotide ooci of genes of transforming growth factor beta (rs5918), lipoprotein lipase (rs328), fibrinogen (rs1800788) and glycoprotein 3 alpha (rs5918) with severity of coronary atherosclerosis in 319 patients. All patients were divided into comparison groups according to the endpoints of single and recurrent myocardial infarctions. In each group the frequency of occurrence of rare alleles was examined. Recurrent myocardial infarction was highly associated with alleles of the following gene polymorphisms: rs1800788(FGB)(OR = 1,91, 95 %C.I. = (1,15-3,17), P = 0,01), rs328(LPL) (OR = 2,92, 95 %C.I. = (1,39-6,11), P = 0,005) and rs1800469(TGF) (OR = 1,88, 95 %C.I. = (1,12-3,16), P = 0,02). Associations of these genes with single myocardial infarctions, as well as association of glycoprotein 3 alpha (rs5918) gene polymorphism were not revealed.

Key words: recurrent myocardial infarction; progression of coronary atherosclerosis; association of transforming growth factor beta, lipoprotein lipase, fibrinogen and glycoprotein 3 alpha gene polymorphisms.
