Topical issues of pathogenesis and diagnosis of tumors and ovarian masses

Objective. To present new data on the pathogenesis and early diagnosis of ovarian tumorsand ovarian masses.
Material and methods. The analysis of data of domestic and foreign publications for the period from 2013 to 2018.
Results. The current views on the pathogenesis, classification and diagnosis of this disease are presented. The problems of differential ultrasound diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors are revealed, and Doppler-graphic criteria for ovarian cancer are discussed. The urgency of the problem of early diagnosis of benign tumors and ovarian masses, based on the prevalence and difficulties of identifying this pathology, is indicated.
Conclusion. Recent studies allow reconsidering the approaches to the early diagnosis of ovarian tumors.
