The review summarizes the information concerning the endocrine system functional state of premature babies. It also analyses the results of studies of thyroid and adrenal glands — the organs that are most important for post-natal life adaptation. An attempt is made to monitor how the influence of endocrine glands functioning on the development of premature babies.
