The use of lipofilling in the treatment of post-traumatic enophthalmos

Enophthalmia is a frequent state of retraction of the eyeball. The most frequent cause of enophthalmia is traumatic damage to the bone walls of the orbit and the adipose tissue contained in the eye socket. The article describes the method of making up a deficiency of the contents of the orbit, to correct the position of the eyeball in it. For this purpose, injection was performed of a suspension of adipose cells, previously aspirated from the subcutaneous fat of the anterior abdominal wall. This method of treatment gave positive results.
