Metabolic syndrome is widespread among women of reproductive age. Metabolic syndrome is the risk factor for developing various obstetric complications. Genetic hypofibrinolysis in women with metabolic syndrome in conjunction with other forms of thrombophilia cause abnormalities of implantation, trophoblast invasion, placentation. It may cause gestosis progression, pheto-placental insufficiency, syndrome of intra-uterine growth retardation of a fetus, syndrome of a fetus loss at the time of pregnancy.

Key words: metabolic syndrome, thrombophilia, pregnancy.
