The prevalence of congenital leap or/and palate clefts in the Tatarstan Republic

The selective data of primary medical data sheets (delivery histories patient cards, case histories). This received numerical material was subjected to statistic processing with relative values calculation (intensive and extensive coefficient). Because of sample formation error probability, the error of frequency relative value was calculated at its 95% confidence interval of its true value. Labium and palate clefts have particular meaning in the large group of congenital failure of development as for severity of clinical appearance, anatomical and functional abnormalities which become stronger with child’s growth; and also by frequency expansion. They are at the 4-7 location among all types of congenital failure of development. The analysis of a search received data shows, that there are significant variation of congenital leaps and palate clefts frequency though out Tatarstan Republic territory during the research period. That index range varied from minimal value 0,8‰ (2003 year) to maximal value 4,0‰ (2011 year). The medium level during of all search period was 2,2 per 1000 newborn.
