The article describes the possibilities of application of the method of percutaneous electric stimulation of the spinal cord to activate the motor functions of the lower extremities. Non-invasive transcutaneous electric stimulation of the spinal cord at Th11-12 vertebrae level in healthy people at rest induces a complex action potential in the distal muscles of the lower extremities and can serve as an alternative to the method of epidural stimulation. It is made clear that subthreshold transcranial magnetic stimulation affects corticospinal excitability and enhances spinal motor responses to percutaneous electric stimulation of the spinal cord.

Key words: spine cord, transcutaneous electric stimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation.
