The article presents the technical characteristics of nasointestinal intubation in patients with diffuse peritonitis. The authors describe the indications and contraindications of the method application, as well as the technique of the colon intubation and the nasointestinal probe maintenance in the postoperative period. Based on years of personal experience, the authors give recommendations for the prevention of possible complications.
