Surgical treatment of bone cysts and tumour-like neoplasms of long cortical bones of metadiaphysial localization

The authors base their conclusions on the experience of applying Ilizarov’s device for forming the intra-bone regenerate in order to substitute the bone cavities. The fundamental difference of the elaborated technique and the applied treatment is in preserving the anatomic shape of the bone without using allomaterials. Using the Ilizarov’s device for forming the intra-bone regenerate allows to substitute significant volume of bone cavities. During the “riping” of the intra-bone distraction regenerate, the impaired bone segment acquires all mechanical-strength characteristics similar to those of a healthy bone of the given segment. The methodological recommendations are intended for traumatologists, orthopedists, resident doctors, and interns.
