To study the characteristics of mucosal immunity in a nasal colonization of Candida species were examined 60 children with perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR) aged between 3 and 18. The main group comprised of 30 children with PAR, whose impression smears of mucous tunic of the nose had fungi of the genus Candida. The comparison group included 30 children with PAR without colonization of the nasal mucosa of fungal microflora. It was found that children with PAR, associated with fungi of the genus Candida, have higher levels of performance such as atopic response: increased sIgE and eosinophils in nasal secretions, increased number of IL-4. Increased production of IL-10 contributes to reduction of IFNγ production and increasing imbalance of cytokine profile, which leads to reduced levels of sIgA, inhibition of neutrophis migration into nasal cavity and their functional activity. Violations of immunological reactivity at the level of the nasal mucosa are the basis for the appointment within comprehensive treatment of topical immunocorrecting therapy.
Key words: children, perennial allergic rhinitis, mucosal immunity.
