The article is devoted to the healthcare quality management system in Russia. Its strategic role is postulated. The authors discussed national and healthcare provider levels. The researchers focused on the actual regulatory system. The main components of quality management process are described. The authors proposed the basic practical steps and algorithm for the quality management system creation. The special priority is given for international certification. The main trends for healthcare quality improvement and benefits for the hospitals were shown.
