The review examines the specific characteristics of bullying associated with overweight and obesity in children and adolescents. Specifically, we examined the role of obesity stigmatization, the main factors driving its prevalence, and the factors associated with a higher risk of victimization, such as severe obesity and female gender. This type of bullying is common in childhood and adolescence and is associated with psychological symptoms, eating disorders, and social and academic difficulties.
