Objective: to describe the main pathological conditions in children, which can be accompanied by osteoporosis or have the common pathogenic mechanisms with the processes of disturbed metabolism of bone tissue.
Methods: the available medical scientific literature was reviewed.
Results: the article presents the main pathogenic mechanisms of disturbance of mineral density of bone tissue and osteoporosis development under chronic diseases in children. The authors describe the typical manifestations of disturbed mineralization of bone tissue in children under pathologies of gastrointestinal tract, in particular, under celiac disease. The features of osteoporosis development are listed, under mucoviscidosis, rheumatic diseases and chronic kidney disease in the early age.
Conclusions: the high frequency of complications in the bone system under chronic somatic pathology requires of a doctor not only to know the main pathology, but also to be able to diagnose osteoporosis at an early stage and to prescribe adequate therapeutic and prophylactic measures to preventive osteoporotic fractions and improve the quality of life of patients.
