 The purpose — to present the life and scientific activity of Valentin Efimovich Anisimov, Prorector for scientific work, Head and Professor of the Faculty Therapy Department of Kazan State Medical University.

Material and methods. The author carried out research and analytical work with the documents of the National Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Archive and Library of Kazan State Medical University, and materials from the Historical Museum of Kazan Medical State University.

Results. The article describes the scientific and creative life of Professor Valentin Efimovich Anisimov, who passed the way from a student activist to the prominent scientist, Prorector for scientific work, Professor and Head of the Faculty Therapy Department of Kazan State Medical Institute and member of the editorial board of Kazan Medical Journal.
