Role of ultrasonography in diagnosing gout

Gout is a systemic disease characterized by deposition of monosodium urate crystals. The review is devoted to the possibilities of ultrasound research for patients with gout, as well as specific and non-specific signs of lesions of joints and periarticular tissues. It is shown that ultrasound research is a simple, rapid and reliable method of estimating the condition of joints and periarticular tissues in gout.
