The article reviews the modern literature on the problem of the influence of cytomegalovirus infection on patients after solid organs transplantation. The review discusses the issues of pathologies after solid organ transplantation, strategies to prevent cytomegalovirus infection after transplantation in patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy. It shows the effect of cytomegalovirus infection on the survival of patients and implants.
Key words: solid organs transplantation, cytomegalovirus, infection, prevention.
