The article presents a review of literature devoted to the problem of retinal angiomatous proliferation. The clinical classification is described, diagnostic features are determined, available methods of treatment, research results and prospects are presented.
Key words: retinal angiomatous proliferation, choroidal neovascularization, age-related macular degeneration, indocyanine green angiography, photodynamic therapy.
