The results analysis of follow-up of 139 patient with deep prosthesis hip joint infection who have been operated in Moscow Regional Clinical Research Institute named after M.F. Vladimirskiy as of from 1995 to 2015 is present in this article. In 36 cases was applied the one-step surgical treatment with the replacement of the endoprosthesis. In 35 cases was applied the two-step revision arthroplasty with installation of a cement antibiotic-impregnated spacer device. After 3-6 months in the absence of latent infection is carried out repeated endoprosthesis replacement. In 23 cases surgical sanitation with preservation of endoprosthesis components was performed. In 44 cases the permanent removal of the implant is completed with resection arthroplasty with the formation of the iliac-femoral neoarthrosis. The study with follow-up for 10 years gives grounds to believe that the most promising method for the treatment of periprosthetic hip infections is a two-stage revision with the installation of a cement spacer, which allows you to receive 91.4% of favorable results.
Key words: periprosthetic infection, hip joint, surgical sanitation, cement spacer, resection arthroplasty.
