The article presents the results of visual acuity of ophthalmological patients with glaucoma at different stages of the disease according to the standard and authorial methods. The methodology of investigating the visual functions within the range of the non-object and object vision was developed by the staff members of our institution. There were studied the visual acuity dynamic changes of the pre-op. and post-op. interventions with the use of Alloplant biomaterials as well as following the course of therapeutic and rehabilitation measures. The data were provided of the interocular interaction changes in the human visual system. The results of the investigation allow us to assert that our developed methodology of the reserve visual acuity investigation is more sensitive and accurate as compared with the traditional methods of the visual acuity measurements.
Key words: ophthalmology, visual acuity, interocular interaction, non-object vision, glaucoma, reserve vision
