The article presents the results of a study of remote consequences of perinatal lesions of the central nervous system in children born from mothers seropositive for syphilis. It was found that 96.0% of children under the age of 7 revealed diffuse neurological symptoms, 92.0% ― attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity, 80.0% ― minimal brain dysfunction, 52.0% ― dysgraphia. The obtained data indicate the need for pediatric supervision for children born from mothers seropositive for syphilis, not only in the early childhood but also at later ages.
Key words: children, mothers seropositive for syphilis, perinatal lesion, сentral nervous system, remote consequences.
