The article reflects the role of antiparasitic chemotherapy in the treatment of echinococcosis in children. In the small size cyst in 19 children conducted conservative treatment: 12 — Isolated echinococcosis of the liver and 7 — a combined lesion. Postoperative prophylactic chemotherapy performed in 146 patients allowed to minimize the risk of the disease recurrence. In addition the antiparasitic chemotherapy was justified due to the fact that 73% of children with echinococcosis has lambliasis, in 28.4% of patients there was a high titer of antibodies to toxocariasis before surgery and during medical check-up remains. Albendozol is an active medication against wide range of helminthes, it is also effective against enumerated above parasites.
