 The article presents a review of literature about modern methods of diagnosis and delivery of patients with fused placenta. The key criteria for visualization of this pathology, the results of their sensitivity and specificity for ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging are considered. Methods of organ-preserving and blood loss-reducing operations are described. Data on the effectiveness of manipulation and possible complications are given.

Key words: fused placenta, placenta accreta, placenta percreta, uterine artery embolization, balloon occlusion, angiography of uterine arteries.
