Objective ― to study the clinical and epidemiological features of RVI in children 1-3 years of life, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the drug «Bac-Set baby» in the complex treatment of the disease.

Material and methods. The study involved 74 patients aged 1-3 years. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy, the patients were divided into two groups: primary (36) and control group (38 people). The main group consisted of 36 children, who from the first day of hospital treatment, along with pathogenetic therapy enterosorbents, received multi- probiotic «Bac-Set baby».

Results and discussion. The duration of intoxication syndrome in the study group averaged 3.4 [2,7-3,8] of the day, marked by significant shorter duration of febrile period (3.6 [3.7-4.0] days), vomiting (2.5 [2,4-3,9] days) and diarrhea syndrome, which amounted to 4.6 [4,3-6,7] days in the study group, compared to 5.1 [5,0-7,9] days ― in the comparison group.

Conclusion. It was found that the positive effect of the application of a multi-probiotic «Bac-Set baby» is aimed at the reduction or complete disappearance of symptoms of intoxication, reducing stool frequency, improve his character and consistency, cupping vomiting, and as a result, relief ecsicosis.
