The study is devoted to the estimation of prevalence of night arterial hypertension and its various types during pregnancy according to the applied normative parameters. The method of 24-hour monitoring of blood pressure was used. The results showed a high prevalence of night arterial hypertension in pregnancy — 19 %. Three variants of high blood pressure were allocated: isolated systolic high blood pressure, isolated diastolic high blood pressure, both high systolic and diastolic blood pressure. High systolic and diastolic blood pressure is more common than isolated variants. The isolated systolic night hypertension is the rarest form. The percentage of women with arterial hypertension increases in the second half of pregnancy. The study of the significance of isolated night hypertension in the development of various complications during pregnancy may affect early diagnosis of hypertension, more effective preventive measures against complications. The role of the isolated variants of hypertension has not been examined yet.

Key words: night arterial hypertension, prevalence, pregnancy, diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure.
