Prehabilitation in the prevention of injuries of musculoskeletal system

The article presents an analysis of the types and location of injuries in young gymnasts aged 6 to 16 years who rhythmic gymnastics in children’s sports school, as well as a questionnaire that has revealed the nature, duration and time of pain resulting from the injuries. As a result of the data obtained, it was found out that most of the time athletes injure their feet ― 32.6%, followed by injuries of the upper extremities (22.4%), then back injuries (21.0%). At the same time, the most frequent are complaints of pain in the groin area (26%), then in the foot (19%) and the lumbar spine (19%). Pain often occurs during training and competitions and can persist for up to a year or more.
