The article presents the analysis of incidence of herpes viral infections over the 16-year period according to the summary statistical forms of medical reporting of Naberezhnye Chelny and internal documents of the Naberezhnye Chelny Infectious Hospital. The summarized data of the Infectious Hospital laboratory show the high percentage of pregnant women (>90%), hospital patients and those who came from polyclinics (>80%) seropositive to the antigen of herpes simplex and cytomegalovirus. Over the past 16 years, the highest recorded incidence among herpes viral infections is chicken pox. Inadequately etiologically interpreted are congenital infections, including herpes viral diseases. The peak detection of genital herpes falls on the period of sexual activity: 20 to 40 years. The incidence of genital herpes is 5 times higher in the city than in the rural areas. Transformations in the system of herpes viral infections recording are necessary.
Key words: herpes viral infections, morbidity, chicken pox, infectious mononucleosis, genital herpes, cytomegalovirus infection, seropositivity, children, men, women, pregnant women.
