The state of immune and hormonal profile was studied, as well as gas and electrolyte composition of blood in patients with hysterical disorders; the dynamics of the studied indices was traced under the influence of complex treatment with the use of antioxidant, immunocorrector, hyperbaric oxygenation in comparison with traditional therapy. The study involved 80 patients with conversion disorders. Depending on the type of therapy they was divided into 2 equal groups: patients of the 1st group received traditional treatment, of the 2nd group ― traditional treatment in combination with mexidol, timalin, and hyperbaric oxygenation. It was shown that conversion disorders are accompanied by changes in immune responses in the form of disimmunoglobulin, increased number of the circulating immune complexes of the fine fraction, of the hormonal profile in the form of increased cortisol and prolactin, and increase the activity of thyroid hormones. Patients with hysterical symptoms showed changes in gas and electrolyte composition of the blood in the form of lower partial tension of oxygen, carbon dioxide, raising the blood pH in comparison with healthy donors. The use of integrated therapy, combining traditional medicines with mexidol, timalin and hyperbaric oxygenation contributes to the restoration of humoral factors of the immune system, especially immunoglobulin fractions and circulating immune complexes and optimizes the content of hormones of the adrenal glands and the thyroid gland. In the blood of patients under the influence of complex treatment we observed normalization of acid-alkaline reaction of blood, partial pressure of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Using only traditional therapy in the treatment of hysterical disorders did not show proper recovery of the investigated laboratory parameters of blood.
Key words: conversion disorders, gas-electrolyte composition, immune and hormonal responses, мexidol, timalin, hyperbaric oxygenation.
