The article considers interection between inflammatory periodontal disease and coronary heart disease. Presents data pathogenetic aspects of the formation of periodontal disease in patients with impaired cardio-vascular system. It is shown that in the literature there are single information about the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of periodontal disease.

Key words: inflammatory diseases of parodontium, coronary heart disease, pathogenetic mechanisms, methods of prevention.
