In this article the results of the investigation of life quality in 60 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) before and after selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) are presented. The estimation of life quality was conducted using questionnaire for the validated Russian version of a Quality of Life Questionnaire in ophthalmology NEI-VFQ-25 before SLT and one month after the laser surgery. The effect of laser surgery results on psychological parameters of life quality in the study groups was determined. Cluster analysis was applied to all the responses of the questionnaire before and after the surgery. According to the cluster analysis all patients were divided into 5 groups (5 clusters). The study of life quality of patients with POAG allows estimating psychophysical state of the patient and observing its positive changes in the treatment process.
Key words: primary open-angle glaucoma, life quality, selective laser trabeculoplasty.
