Optimization of treatment of open fractures of the hip in patients with polytrauma based on the systematic approach

The results of the diagnosis and treatment of 87 patients with combined open fractures of the hip are analyzed. By using gentle methods of osteosynthesis in the acute period we managed to optimize the treatment of fractures, reduce the number of early complications that contributed to the reduction of unsatisfactory outcomes. The number of good results raised to 9,2% (29,9 and 20,7% respectively), poor — decreased by 6,9% (3,4 and 10,3% respectively) patients. The positive effect of treatment results of patients of the main group is explained by early vertical orientation, adequate treatment of other components of concomitant injury.
