There was made an analysis of treatment of 43 patients with complicated shaft fractures of humerus in case of polytrauma. It was found that the most prevalent were the following traumas: skull — 9.3%; breast — 7%; stomach — 1,5%; pelvis — 11.6%; diaphyseal fractures of the shoulder — 67.4%. In 41.7% of cases it was intraoperatively revealed that the radial nerve is located between the fragments in a state of pressing, in 34.9% of cases, the nerve is located on top of deformation and stretched due to displacement of the fragments, in 23.3% of cases, the nerve is outside the line of fracture, damage of the nerve is directly related to injury. The trauma outcome at studied patients depended on time and quality of an osteosynthesis of a diaphysis fracture of a humeral bone. Good results in the long term achieved in 72.1% of cases and satisfactory — in 27.9% of cases.
