The article gives the results of practical application of color segmentation of esophagus narrow-band images. Was developed an algorithm of narrow-band endoscopic examination of upper gastrointestinal with the use of an automated specification of pathology. In 238 patients in the course of esophagogastroduodenoscopy was used the methodology of an automated specification of abnormal focus. Positive increase of diagnostic effectiveness of narrow-band endoscopy has been indicated in diagnostics of esophagus pathology. Statistical analysis of narrow-band endoscopic images of esophagus was made. The usage of mathematic modeling has shown the possibility of determination of normal and pathological sites for obtaining objective evaluation of mucous coat of esophagus condition.

Key words: narrow-band imaging, endoscopy, pathology of esophagus, color segmentation of images.
