The work presents a comparative analysis of the published data on the incidence of ocular sarcoidosis in Russia and other countries, as well as the results of our own research. It was shown that the statistical data on the ophthalmosarcoidosis incidence among patients from different countries vary greatly. It has been suggested that the lack of the unified approach and the complexity of diagnostics combined with low alertness for ophthalmosarcoidosis can lead to a large percentage of diagnostic errors.

Key words: sarcoidosis, ocular sarcoidosis, ophthalmosarcoidosis, incidence, uveitis, diagnostics.
