     Retinal veins occlusion is often accompanied by the macular area ischemia and, together with macular edema is one of the key reasons for visual acuity reduction. One of the topical tasks is to evaluate the degree of the retina ischemic injury with the OCT-angiography method and to compare the obtained data with the functional results before and after anti-VEGF therapy.

    The research included 14 people, 84 of them patients with retinal vein occlusion, who received an angiogenesis inhibitor injection, and 30 controls. Before treatment and 1 month after the injection, the following OCT-angio parameters were assessed: capillary network density in the superficial and deep vascular plexuses and area of capillary nonperfusion within the perifoveal zone. By the results of a single injection, the patients were divided onto 2 groups: with sufficient and insufficient clinical effect. It was found that in 77% patients with sufficient effect of treatment the area of ischemia was minimal (up to 1 quadrant), while in the group with insufficient effect, the area of nonperfusion occupying more than 3 quadrants of perifovea occurred in 81%.
