The article represents the estimation of results of visual acuity, functional optical zone, changes in pre- and postoperative conic constant, high order (spherical) aberrations or multifocality in patients with myopia when excimer laser operations with aspherical and standard algorithm were performed using «Microscan-CFP». The analysis of postoperative corneal surface for getting effective aspherical surface showed that the value of the conic constant -0.2 was insufficient for correction of myopia exceeding 4.0 D. To optimize the aspherical algorithm with the aim of improving functional optical zone, when correcting myopia with a spherical equivalent of more than -4.0 D, a nomogram was proposed.
Key words: aspherical ablation, conic constant, nomogram, functional optical zone.
