The article presents the retrospective and prospective analysis of the course of pregnancy and outcomes of rapid and accelerated labour in 115 women with full-term gestation. It is proved that in 27% of cases rapid labour is of a physiological character and does not provide complications of mothers or babies. Herewith, in 73% of cases rapid labour had negative impact on mother and her newborn. It was determined that the reason for adverse outcomes was not the generic act, but pregnancy complications, mainly of infectious and inflammatory nature.
Key words: rapid and accelerated labour, perinatal complications, maternal complications, infectious complication of pregnancy.
