Objective ― multiparametric evaluation of immunochemical abnormalities, indices of oxidative stress and endogenous intoxication reflecting the state of the nervous system microstructures in Parkinson’s disease.

Material and methods. The study included 32 patients of the main group and 21 patients as a control group. A blood sample was taken to evaluate endogenous intoxication by detecting medium-mass molecules (MMM), assessing the state of the immune system by determining the content of circulating immune complexes (CIC), the total oxidative activity and total antioxidant activity of the organism (TOA and TAA): the activity of catalase, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malonic dialdehyde (MDA) in blood serum by spectrophotometric method.

Results. MMM of all specters showed significant differences from the control group parameters regardless of the disease stage. When comparing the CIC level in the early and late stage groups with the control group, no significant differences were found. Indicators of SOD, catalase activity, TAA, TOA in patients with early stage of Parkinson’s disease significantly differed from those of the control group.

Conclusion. The revealed differences in all MMM spectra indicate the presence of endogenous intoxication in patients with Parkinson’s disease. A significant difference in the oxidative status of patients in the early and late stages of the disease was revealed.

Key words: Parkinson’s disease, endogenous intoxication, oxidative stress, early diagnosis.
