 The article presents the results of evaluating the efficacy of treatment of patients with organsaving treatment of patients with Rb, using antioxidant therapy with cytogenetic monitoring. We have examined 23 patients (25 eyeballs) with retinoblastoma (probands). Analysis of metaphase plates showed that all patients prior to therapy, regardless of gender and location of the tumor, had nonspecific structural changes of chromosomes. The growth of retinoblastoma causes an increase of cytogenetic changes in lymphocytes of patients in the 5.9-fold compared to healthy children. Polychemotherapy increased chromosomal instability in patients with retinoblastoma by 1.5 times compared with the background values (before treatment). The organsaving chemotherapy using the drug «Slezovit» with antioxidant effect caused a decrease in the activity of cytogenetic chemotherapy 2.8 times, indicating the protective properties of the drug.
