The article views the main principles of operative treatment of the most frequent congenital heart diseases in children and observation of the patients after cardio-surgical interventions. The patients are divided into groups based on surgical trauma and lesions during operation, which ultimately determine the object of attention and observation. One-type prescriptions inside each group simplify and standardize the doctor’s work. Non-standard situations result in consultations of a cardiosurgeon.

Key words: children, congenital heart diseases, surgical treatment, complications, observation.
