The article discusses one of the most urgent problems of pediatric dentistry ― endodontic treatment of pulpitis and periodontitis in deciduous teeth. The main objective of deciduous teeth treatment is to eliminate the inflammatory nidus and pain, to prevent periodontitis and other odontogenic inflammatory processes, to restore the function and shape of the tooth, to create conditions for the proper formation of a deciduous tooth and for the timely physiological resorption of deciduous teeth roots. Today, endodontic treatment in pediatric dentistry provides for direct pulp capping, pulpotomy and pulpectomy. The article discusses specific indications and contraindications of each method, the stages of implementation, as well as the used therapeutic agents and their properties. The material is based on the modern views on this issue, presented in the available Russian and foreign literature.
