Мitral valve prolapse in doctor’s practice

The article presents data concerning the anatomical organization and physiology of mitral valve, is given a definition of “mitral valve prolapse”. The mainstreams of pathogenesis of mitral valve prolapse, morphological varieties are considered. Considering the current literature, data on the prevalence of mitral valve prolapse, the etiology of its occurrence are presented. Detailed clinical manifestations of mitral valve prolapse, electrocardiographic and ultrasonic diagnostic methods are given. The modern classification of mitral valve prolapse is given. he recommendations for the early diagnosis of complications of mitral valve prolapse, and therapeutic and, if necessary, surgical correction methods are offered.
