The article presents a review of the literature reflecting modern approaches to the diagnosis of minor heart anomalies. The prevalence, classification, clinical significance and prognosis, as well as the role of echocardiography in the diagnosis of minor heart anomalies are discussed. Transthoracal echocardiography, alongside with transesophageal one, plays the leading role in diagnosis of minor heart anomalies in patients with inherited abnormalities of connective tissue.
