The authors present the long time results of surgical treatment of 62 patients with vast defects of soft tissues of the proximal foot segments. 68 transplantations of complex flaps with axial vascularization were made. Different microsurgical methods were applied, depending on the depth of tissue traumatic damage, the size and degree of injuries and regeneration possibilities.

Key words: proximal foot segment, soft tissue, vast defects, grafting, microsurgery.
