Article examines the characteristics of the exchange of the most important athletes of macro-and microelements: calcium, magnesium, potassium, chromium, iron, copper, zinc and selenium. Provides an overview of domestic and foreign literature on the diagnosis and correction diselementozis athletes. Training process includes long-term skilled athletes high-intensity exercise. This mode requires intensity of metabolic processes, and therefore increasing demand for minerals. Loss of bioactive elements lead to disruption of homeostasis. Established the basis of these disorders is the lack of essential trace elements. Providing an athlete macro- and micronutrients should be at the expense of basic diet products. Use of vitamin-mineral complexes, specialized dietary supplements in the sphere of sports is a helper method to maintain peak fitness.
Key words: athletes, mineral status, lack of elements, exercise.
